Lichtenstein House (1905)

You are welcome to visit our educational center where you will find books, videos, and information from most of the Hispanic countries.

The Lichtenstein House, constructed in 1905 by Julius and Carrie Lichtenstein, was entered into the Texas Historic Landmarks in 1976, and into the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The ceilings and walls are made of wood, which was typical of that era. The front door is an elegant feature with a large eliptical porch, which is most striking feature of the house. The widely spaced Tuscan columns support the graceful curved cornice decorated with dentils.
