Our Mission & Goals
The Instituto de Cultura Hispánica de Corpus Christi is a cultural organization created by citizens of South Texas in 1976 who have a common interest in the enhancement and promotion of Spanish culture.
- Preserve, promote, and share the culture, language, and history of the Hispanic community represented in Corpus Christi.
- Build relationships based on knowledge and understanding of different cultures.
- Promote the spiritual values which are the foundation of the Hispanic culture.
- Accentuate the positive contributions of Hispanics in the United States.
- Work cooperatively with other Hispanic and non-Hispanic organizations who are non-partisan to achieve its cultural and educational goals.
- Network with state and local organizations, especially educational institutions, in presenting and celebrating Hispanic heritage activities.
- Support additional goals as proposed by the Board of Directors and approved by the General Assembly.
